The district around the rivers Hvítá, Norðurá and Þverá, with the farms of the saga marked: Svignaskarð, Norðrtunga, Helgavatn, Hvammr, Örnólfsdalr and the two Breiðabólstaðr farms, with an inset of Hvammr í Dölum and Gunnarsstaðir on Hvammsfjörður.

The farms as the saga introduces them. Þorbjǫrn stígandi’s farm is unnamed in the text and placed by conjecture.
